I still cry myself to sleep
Every rain drop
In this damp spring
Represents the tears
I have cried
Over you
And how you can't see me
It's now too late
It's official
I don't exist
And they do
I have become a transparent apparition
Glancing through a window
Longing
For your affection
While they own it
These windows
Have become my eyes
Because all I can see now
Is you
And them
Together
While the rain pours down my windows
Splashing onto the petals
Of the roses
That were meant to be
From me to you
I watch them wilt
As the rain continues to fall
And you grow farther away
With them
Until I cannot even see you
Misguided
Now, looking
Searching for you
Your love
That I always dreamt of
Until they stole it
From me
The ghost
That's haunting you
But you don't even notice
You never noticed
Never
Absolutely
Positively
Not caring
Because as I haunt you
They hold you
And haunt me instead
Downpour
Drowning
In the freezing cold
As I just stare at the two of you
Sweet, laughing
A shell of my dreams
My silly little dreams
That obviously haven't come true
And never will
Will I ever
Find love?
I stare at the rope
Pointless
I feel like trash
This isn't how life should be
Broken-hearted
Completely meaningless
Numb from the freeing rain
Jealous
SInful
Misguided
Endlessly searching
For somebody just as insane
But willing to compromise
I won't find that person
Never
Ever
Because you have been found
By somebody else
And I should just end it
But I can't seem to
Because I can't run away
From my problems
So please
Save me the misery
And end it quickly
Stop teasing
With your smile
That makes my life meaningful
Please
End me
Just kill my hope
So I can run away from my problems
And live in the painful compromise
Of life itself
And leave you
And your fantasy
Alone
Like it should be
However
I am afraid
That I will never be
Able to look away
I cannot simply
Look away
Because you mean too much to me
Although I mean nothing whatsoever
I still cannot look away...

<sub. oh god... This is honestly one of my most emotional poems EVER because I know how it feels when you like someone, they like someone else, you say say that you are over them, but you just cannot look away. Originality Technique ImpactLet me get the mean part over with. Everyone and their sister has written a poem like this. js.
But i loved it!!! it was so creative how it was mainly comprised of sentences in a non-sentence form. like, not all of it was random words that had meaning like a lot of free verse does.
(gosh...100 words is hard...)
However the format i thought could have been a little more broken up...ya know, just to fit the mood.
Kinda long as well, but...i loved it. can't imagine that your other watchers won't as well!!! toodleoo!!
