Literature Text

Let us nestle under the branches
Of those bare
Snow covered trees
And never let go
Of each other's arms
It's needless to say
That I adore you
Completely and utterly
As we stand hand in hand
Face to face
Cheek to cheek
Lips to lips
Under the holiday lights
Gentle snow
Cold wind
As midnight approaches

Your eyes
Dark blue under the full moon
Your features are just visible
Just right
You are just right
Just like this night
Tis Christmas approaching
That magical time of year
Where our love peaks
With a kiss at midnight
Although I beg for that moment
To finally arrive
Under the twinkling stars
I can gladly say
That I don't mind waiting for it
As long
As you
Are here
In my arms
In my thoughts
In my heart
Under the twinkling lights
The sleigh bells
The soft snow
And whispers of the wind
As midnight approaches

Kiss me
The clock strikes twelve
As the carolers stroll through time square
With a beautiful melody
Like our hearts make
Like our minds portray
As the christmas lights twinkle
As the fire roasts the chess nuts
As midnight... finally... arrives...
      Merry Christmas    :santa:
This little poem here is about a couple in Manhattan during the holiday season. I find this setting so romantic and find the bustling city such an interesting setting for both romance and snuggling on winter nights near good ol' Christmas!! :santa: Enjoy everyone!!
